Lara Ramsey, Ed.D.

I am a consultant for school faculties interested in deepening their conversations about teaching, learning, and educational practices.

My workshops with faculties teach the use of protocols and descriptive processes as tools for giving close, focused attention to matters of teaching and learning.  Protocols, or guided conversations, allow more time and more perspectives to bear on the topic at hand: a child, a piece of student work, a lesson plan, an assessment, a teaching dilemma, or a pedagogical idea.
Protocols and Descriptive Processes provide structures that heighten respectful dialogue, hone awareness of multiple perspectives, and protect time to think and reflect.
